Proxy Shop FAQ
Are these Octo Browser proxies?
Octo Browser is not a proxy provider. Proxies are provided by third-party proxy providers, whose traffic you can buy directly in Octo Browser.
What kind of proxies are offered in the Proxy Shop?
Currently, Octo Browser Proxy Shop offers dynamic residential proxies. Typically, an IP address is available for an average of 2 to 24 hours. After that, a new IP address from the same location is issued (and, if possible, from the same ISP). Issued IP addresses are not personalized, so available addresses are issued from the address pool; however, due to the vast number of IP addresses the probability of overlapping is minimal.
Can I transfer traffic from one ISP to another?
Unfortunately, this is not possible.
Can I use HTTP proxies?
If you use HiveProxy, you won't even need to change anything in the proxy data except the protocol itself. Simply change the protocol to HTTP in the software for which you plan to use the proxy.
If you want to use an HTTP proxy in Octo, you cannot change the protocol in the created proxy itself. You need to copy the data of the created SOCKS5 proxy and create a new favorite proxy changing the protocol to HTTP.
If you use AWProxy, you will need to change the port from 1080 to 9090 in the proxy data and the protocol itself.
If you use Netlabs, you will need to change the port from 1080 to 8080 in the proxy data and the protocol itself.
Are there limits on changing the external IP address with a link?
Yes, this operation is limited. You can change the IP address once per minute.
Can I manage Proxy Shop proxies via API?
Currently, API for the Proxy Shop is not available.
